  • Giving for Good Campaign for Santa Fe Trail Historical Society

    December 2 - December 31

SFTHS is committed to preserving and sharing local history. Our group supports The Kansas Room (the history room) at the Baldwin City Public Library (BCPL). In the past, we have joined with BCPL to raise funds through the Giving For Good Campaign to digitize (scan) over 350 fragile real estate abstracts kept in The Kansas Room. Many of these abstracts were written on fragile paper (some on onion skin), were very old, tearing, and were better if not handled. But many patrons are interested in the information they contain. Donated funds allowed these precious abstracts and their historic information to be scanned. Soon the will be put on the computer so the information can be accessed safely. The abstracts are now stored safely in the archives.

  • Giving for Good Year-End Campaign for Baldwin Education Foundation

This financial gift will help fund BEF’s flagship Innovative Project Grant program, which puts additional funds directly into our Baldwin classrooms.
