What is your motivation for running for the office?
I’m running to help keep Baldwin City affordable and welcoming for all residents. I want to focus on expanding affordable housing options, supporting every member of our community, and ensuring strong, transparent communication between residents and the City Council.
What is one major issue Baldwin City is facing currently, and how would you address it?
One major issue we’re facing is the need to replace the water line from Lawrence to Baldwin. This is a significant infrastructure project, and I believe we must begin planning now to ensure it is completed with minimal financial impact on our citizens. I will work closely with city staff and public works to develop a responsible, cost-effective solution.
What is your vision for Baldwin City 5–10 years in the future?
I envision a growing, thriving Baldwin City that remains an affordable and proud place to call home. My goals include reducing the burden of utility costs in a smart, sustainable way and supporting thoughtful development that benefits the entire community. I also hope to see the City Lake project—of which I am currently chair—completed in the near future as a great asset for residents and visitors alike.
What personal characteristics and/or abilities qualify you for election to city office?
As a current City Council member, I bring experience, knowledge of ongoing and future projects, and a strong sense of responsibility. I’m approachable, level-headed, and committed to being available to residents—call me anytime with a concern, and I’ll listen. I’m dedicated to seeing current initiatives through while continuing to build toward a stronger future.
What is one thing you’d like voters to know?
I will always put the best interests of Baldwin City and its citizens first. My roots run deep here, and I care deeply about our town’s future and the generations to come. I’m committed to working every day toward a brighter, stronger Baldwin City for all.
