Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Q & A

What is a Chamber? What is Main Street?

A Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary partnership of businesses and professionals working together to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life in a community. Baldwin City Main Street is a citizen-led program focused on improving and maintaining our vital downtown district. The two organizations work hand-in-hand.

Who are Chamber and Main Street Members?

Chamber and Main Street members are businesses, non-profits, organizations, and individuals concerned with the socioeconomic climate of a community. These groups have joined together because they stand a better chance of getting things done when speaking with a collective voice with access to decision makers.
