Watermelon Eating and Seed Spitting Contests

Think you can eat a slice of watermelon faster or spit a watermelon seed further than anybody?

See for yourself at the July 17th Third Friday Market Watermelon Eating and Seed Spitting Contests inside Sullivan Square!

Simply show up and tell the judge you want to participate. Participation is free.

The contests will be judged separately, and you can participate in one or both contests.

Each contest will be split into three age categories:
0-6 years | 7 - 12 years | 13 years and up

Free watermelon slices will be available to anyone after the contests.

Prizes will be awarded to each age category:

Watermelon Eating:
1st: prize basket valued at $25
2nd: prize basket valued at $15

Seed Spitting:
1st: prize basket valued at $15
