A guest presentation with Lenora Larson
Whether you’re already the steward of a fully landscaped garden or the owner of a blank slate, your entire yard can be easily converted into a butterfly habitat. Besides NO INSECTICIDES, the secret to success is feeding the children, the caterpillars, who are very persnickety. Each butterfly species only dines on a few specific plants. This free presentation includes plant lists, horticultural and maintenance recommendations, and design tips that optimize your opportunities to view the precious caterpillars and their beautiful winged parents.
Lenora will be available after the presentation for one-on-one garden talks. Pick up a copy of Making Gardens for Insects & Other Wildlife in the garden shop, or bring your pre-purchased book for Lenora to sign!
This presentation will take place in the Courtyard and the Botanical Coffee Shop will be serving beverages and snacks to enjoy during the event.
Take your notes to the greenhouses and grounds to gather plants for your butterfly habitat. Staff will be on hand to help you find what you’re looking for!
