Morningstar Care Homes was founded by Scott and Linda Schultz in 2011, and currently employs over 100 people. “Morningstar specializes in providing memory care services for elders with Alzheimer’s, other forms of dementia, Parkinson’s or who have had strokes. Each boutique care home is located amongst single-family homes rather than in a commercial setting. Through both organic growth and acquisitions, top line revenue has grown at a rate of 43% annually. Morningstar Care Homes operates five long-term care homes in the four Kansas communities of Baldwin City, Ottawa, Neodesha and Fredonia with a total capacity of 93 residents” (Lambert, 2019). Morningstar Care Homes is the 2019 Kansas Governor’s Award of Excellence – the highest honor a business can receive.
