The Baldwin City Recreation Commission was established in 1984.  BCRC is headed by a 5 volunteer member board with 5 full-time employees and dozens of seasonal employees that help make us go.  Our vision statement is “Providing places, pathways and programs to promote healthy lifestyles and maximize positive behaviors in the community.”  By providing quality recreation opportunities to each individual in Baldwin City as well as the nearby surrounding communities, we strive to live up to our mission statement.  Between sports, special events, aquatics, senior activities, after school and summer camp programs, in addition to countless classes, camps and programs, we are touching most of the community we serve.  We are continually looking for things to bring to Baldwin City, improve on what we currently offer and partner with existing entities to make Baldwin City first class!  There’s fun for everyone at the BCRC with the following:
