Join us to hear experts impart knowledge on the past, present and future of Baldwin City power. This panel conversation will provide our community an informative historic context to Baldwin City power supply and its growth moving to the future of increasing renewables with the addition of solar energy. 


Glenn Rodden, City Administrator, City of Baldwin City 

Paul Mahlberg, General Manager, Kansas Municipal Energy Agency

Paul has served the municipal electric industry for over 30 years. As General Manager for KMEA, he is responsible for the overall management of the Agency as well as the Kansas Municipal Gas Agency. Prior to KMEA, Paul worked for the municipal utility in Independence, Missouri for 19 years and a national engineering consulting firm for 8 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.

Brandon Sack, Clean Energy Development Manager, Westar Energy (Evergy)

Brandon Sack, a graduate of the University of Kansas, has been in the energy industry for over twenty (20) years and has gained experience through different roles in analytics, planning, energy trading and clean energy development. He was instrumental in the development and approval of Westar Energy’s Renewables Direct and Community Solar tariffs which both provide direct access to renewable energy to all customers. He now focuses on working with customers across the Midwest to help in their pursuit for clean, cost effective energy.
