We recently interviewed long time Chamber member Jeremy Rodrock, owner and founder of Rodrock Chiropractic. They’re getting ready to celebrate their 17th year in business and welcome a new doctor with an open house on February 15th.
BCCoC: So, you’ve been in business for 17 years in Baldwin City now, right? Can you give us an overview of your beginnings?
Dr. Rodrock: Sure! I graduated in August of 2000 from Cleveland Chiropractic College-Kansas City and opened Rodrock Chiropractic in late January of 2001. In 2001 I also received my certificate in Acupuncture from Cleveland Chiropractic College. Then in 2004 I received my CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) from Palmer School of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa.
I started my practice in a small three room office at 810 High Street behind Barker Pharmacy. In October of 2001 I moved to our current location. I’ve always had a passion for helping others and being involved in the community. Growing up in a small town, I know how important community involvement is. I have a strong desire to continue to give back to the community that has treated us so well.
I’m an active member in the Kansas Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
BCCoC: What is the mission of Rodrock Chiropractic?
Dr. Rodrock: Our mission at Rodrock Chiropractic is to help as many people as we can in our lifetime.
BCCoC: What factors enable your success?
Dr. Rodrock: First and foremost Baldwin City is a wonderful town and the support here has been generous. Given that generosity, I just want to give back and be a health leader in the community.
BCCoC: What sets your business apart from the competition?
Dr. Rodrock: At Rodrock Chiropractic our goal is for you to walk in and have the best experience of your day. With that attitude our front desk staff (Heather and Cheri) goes above and beyond people’s expectation. You are a part of our family and we want you to feel that warm welcome. We also provide a wide variety of services including Acupuncture, nutritional counseling, massage therapy, rolfing, reflexology and cupping.
Having two locations and multiple doctors in the offices adds convenience and comfort knowing there are years of experience behind your plan for achieving optimal health.
BCCoC: What are your plans for the future?
Dr. Rodrock: Our office has a collective goal to become the health leaders in our community and the surrounding area. Educating our community is a priority and we will be offering many in office workshops as well as online. Look for the foundations for Optimal Health.
BCCoC: Why Baldwin City?
Dr. Rodrock: Growing up in a small town I always had a desire to be back in a small town after chiropractic school. I was first attracted to Baldwin City’s charm and once I got to know the community I knew I had made the right choice. I also love where Baldwin City is located. Away from the hustle of the city, but close enough it is easy to get there.
BCCoC: Anything else you’d like to share?
Dr. Rodrock: We have a new addition to our office Dr. Sphendi Lluhani. He is a recent graduate from Parker University. We are members and honor the Patriot Project (check out http://www.patriot-project.org/ for more information). We also proudly sponsor Get Moving Baldwin, come and join our group, it is never too late to start moving and we have levels for everyone! Please contact our office with any questions!
